Why use D-Mannose?

Urinary tract infections occur when bacteria and other infectious agents attach themselves to the lining of the bladder and the urethra. Most but not all (approx 90%) UTI’s are the results of E-Coli bacteria colonizing the urinary tract.

What Is D-Mannose?

D-Mannose is a simple sugar. Chemically, it is closely related to glucose. It is naturally occurring sugar found in cranberry and pineapple juice. When D-Mannose is ingested into the body, most of it is rapidly absorbed through the stomach and upper GI tract before reaching the intestines, emptying into the urine through the kidneys. Only a very small amount of D-manose is actually metabolized by the body.

A Natural Alternative

Millions of people are affected by this uncomfortable and painful problem, and it seems to affect women more so than men. While antibiotics are mainly used to treat this condition, many people prefer to try a natural alternative.
